ABOUT ME
I am an EMDR Certified Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Colorado and Kansas. I see clients in my office in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver, and throughout Colorado and Kansas online. I primarily work with individual adults.
I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. I have provided therapeutic care in a variety of settings including in schools, community agencies, group settings, women's shelters, and private practice.
I believe that you possess the strengths and skills needed to affect positive change in your world. My focus is to assist my clients in navigating complex social or family concerns that are causing them frustration, impairments, and trauma. I want to help you find a healthier, happier place. I offer a judgement and shame-free space allowing you to do your best and most honest work.

Individual Therapy for Adults
At Gennaro Counseling, my goal is to meet you where you are.
Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, unsure of how to process your emotions or life events, or you have experienced trauma. My office is an environment that is judgment free and I strive to provide a setting that is easiest and most comfortable for you.
Your schedule or life circumstances may not allow you to schedule traditional in-office appointments. If this is the case for you, I can provide confidential and secure web-based therapy.
A few of my specialties in therapy are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, ADHD, PTSD and other trauma-related challenges, coping with life’s obstacles, and processing complex emotions.
For those seeking support in managing the effects of trauma, I specialize in EMDR therapy. This method has been found highly effective in trauma treatment. For more information on EMDR, visit the EMDR International Association website, or check out this video.

Clinical Supervision
I'm an LCSW clinical supervisor in Colorado and soon-to-be Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
I remember how difficult diving into this field was as a new social worker. I had helpful, wonderful supervisors... and others who honestly made my journey to licensure harder. My goal is to be one of the good ones for you, to help you grow and develop into the kind of excellent, compassionate, and ethical clinical the world so desperately needs.
I use a variety of evidence-based methods in supervision, and can provide support online or in my Denver office.
Individual supervision sessions are $95 per hour.
